After a fairly bumpy night (which rocked us to sleep rather nicely), this morning dawned bright and sunny (actually, I didn't see dawn). Tina, Joey, Carlos (Tina's brother) and I had a leisurely breakfast, then cruised across Lake Washington, through the Montlake cut, through Lake Union, and once again through the Hirum M. Chittenden Locks. Carlos tended the lines with only a small amount of confusion. We went down and had ice-cream at a little snack bar near the public launch in Shilshole, and cooked up some Spaghetti-O's (in that order). We came back through the locks again with Carlos tending the lines and myself at the helm. The lock attendant told Carlos where he wanted him to tie the stern line, and tossed a line down and hooked our bow cleat with one try. Sunset was beautiful as we locked through. We cruised the long way through Lake Union and motored back over to Moss Bay in Kirkland. I pan fried some steak on the boat, and we bunked down for the night.
